We got the NC Science Festival off to a great start as the newly built UNC Charlotte Observatory hosted its first Star Party. About 130 visitors were treated to clear skies and views of the heavens through three of our telescopes – including the 14″ telescope that is permanently housed in the Observatory. The Charlotte Observer were there and wrote this report. We also have photos in the gallery.
